Hunting from January through April

In our northern hunting camp we can offer all kinds of first class service and clients sleep in private cabins. The camp is easy accessible as it is situated only 1˝ hours by car from the provincial capital Garoua, which has an international airport.

In the savanna region of the north the most sought after species are Lord Derby’s Eland and Roan antelope. Ngong Safaris’ concession, which has a size of over 350.000 acres, holds very dense populations of both species, and accordingly the success rates are very high with many good trophies taken over the years.

Generally there is a thriving population of all the huntable species in the north, and the trophies are of a high quality. The world record Nigerian Hartebeest was taken here in 1998. In addition our concession is the only one in Cameroon, where you can hunt Western Topi.

Hunting is normally conducted by tracking on foot for Giant Eland and most of the other antelopes, although we have a wide network of roads throughout the concession.

In the north we also offer a hunt for savanna elephant. The trophy size is normally modest compared to savanna elephants in South and East Africa, so this hunt should mainly be included for the experience. The trophy fees, however, are the lowest in all of Africa. This hunt can be combined with an antelope hunt, if you wish so.

Hunting season in the north is from January through April.
