Hunting from April until the middle of June

In the south, our hunting concession is situated in the Youkadouma area, close to the southeastern border towards The Central African Republic and Congo. Only practical access is by chartered plane from Douala on the West Coast. Lodging is of very high standard and all modern amenities are available. Our guides are pygmies and very skilled hunters.

The most sought trophies in the jungle are the Bongo and the various species of Duikers. However, we can also offer an unique opportunity of hunting Forest Elephant in combination with our antelope hunts. Forest Sitatunga, Giant Forest Hog and Dwarf Buffalo are also huntable. During a normal hunt you will see several gorillas, as the area contains a large population.

Hunting is by foot as soon as fresh tracks have been encountered. We have a wide network of roads, which is constantly being enlarged and renewed by the Forestry Company in the area. We also have a number of high seats near openings (swampy savannas) in the forest, where The Duikers are hunted by calling. Our pygmy trackers are experts, and although a shotgun is used, you’ll get some challenging shots as the Duikers come towards you at full speed.

The hunting season in the South is from April until the middle of June.
